Edda Wind is a provider of purpose-built Service Operation Vessels (SOV) and Commissioning Service Operation vessels (CSOV) to the global offshore wind market since 2015. The vessels accommodate wind turbine technicians and provide services during the commissioning and operation of offshore wind farms. The company owns and operates eight vessels, three SOVs and five CSOVs. Additionally, Edda Wind has five CSOVs currently under construction.
Edda Wind is a public listed company under ticker EWIND. The largest investors are Geveran Trading Co. Limited, an entity indirectly controlled by trusts established by Mr. John Fredriksen, Wilhelmsen New Energy AS, a firm controlled by Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding AS and Xclat Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of the Quantum Pacific Shipping group associated with Mr. Idan Ofer.

New company – solid track-record in maritime operations
The concept of Edda Wind was first realized in Haugesund by the Østensjø Group in 2015. Østensjø is a reputable maritime services group with strong positions within offshore, accommodation and towage established by Johannes Østensjø in 1974. The group is headquartered in Haugesund, Norway, with presence in the UK and Malta.
Five years after the birth of Edda Wind, the Wilhelmsen Group became a partner in the company. Wilhelmsen is a global maritime industry group providing first class products and services internationally. It was founded in 1861 by Wilhelm Wilhelmsen and is headquartered in Lysaker, Norway, from which it operates the largest maritime network on the planet with over 2,200 locations worldwide and thousands of employees in more than 70 countries.
Technology
Edda Wind is creating the next generation of offshore wind service vessels. We are working closely with partners to develop new technologies to reduce emissions without compromising operational capabilities or cost competitiveness. All new built vessels are prepared for zero-emission utilizing liquid organic hydrogen carrier as an energy source.

Health
All employees on board undergo a strict health examination by a certified medical examiner before commencing work on board our vessels. Once on board, our personnel are trained to keep a high standard of food and hygiene at all times. All vessels are equipped with exercise equipment on board for the crew’s disposal.
Safety
We work hard to create a safe working environment with no personal injuries, environmental- or property damage. Safety is a cornerstone of good seamanship and is something we never compromise on. The philosophy is continuous improvement.
Security
Personnel on board and in the office are trained and certified to ensure a secure operation for all vessels in all waters. We carry out scheduled drills and stay updated on latest security threats at all times.
Environment
We invest heavily in research and development to ensure the most environmentally friendly fleet with the most fuel-efficient technology. Masters aim to sail at an optimal speed to ensure clients’ needs are met in the most cost-effective and fuel-efficient manner.
